you say that icecrpypt is easy to implement in hardware. Then i must be easy in software too.

Sure. Real encrypt/decrypt part of the code has 100 lines of C++/Asm code with source size near 2KB.

Like we can go use AES or DES or BlowFish easly with dll's or directly code, do you plan to make a dll so we can use icecrypt?

We wanted to make ICE Safe sources as public domain. If somebody can help us to write documentation for ICE Safe in English, we will do it.

Have you published the source code for peer review yet? If you're interested in putting this into the public domain (a very important and useful thing to do IMHO) then this would be an important step.

I am not only a native english speaking (& writing) person, but I also have some non-governmental background and interest in cryptography. In addition, I understand both number theory and communications well enough to write in a way that is accessible by both the layman and the cryptographic professional. I would be happy to donate my services both in review of the code and underlying algorithms, and in writing documentation of the same.

Best Regards,

Stuart

I fully agree with that! I would love to see this as a public release Smile
but of course its up to you, as the programmers!

Hear, hear! One of the most important facets of cryptography is peer review. A good cryptosystem is one that is fast and maintains an even distribution in the ciphertext regardless of the plaintext, while not exposing 'signatures' in the ciphertext that aid in breaking the key used for encryption. At a blush, ICEcrypt seems to exhibit these characteristics. But a great cryptosystem is one where knowing how the encoding is done give the cryptanalist no greater ability to decrypt the ciphertext than does a brute-force analysis.

The only way to truly know is expose the underlying code and letting many cryptographers "tear it apart". I'd love to see this happen with ICEcrypt.

In addition, I might recommend that copyrights and or patents be filed to actually place the code (and algorythms) in the public domain. There have been too many cases of programmers putting things tacitly in the public domain, just to be ripped-off by another less-than-scrupulous software company. I applaud every developer who contributes to the world's knowledge, but I want to help insure it stays that way!

Copyrights and patents are not cheap. We do not want problems. Otherwise someone another can patent this technology. If it will be published as public domain without proper patents. It will be extremely unpleasant.
