pixalisation errors?

Hello ICE Color,

If looking at the resultant pictures (so after the optimization), it looks that pixalisations is happening (one sees clear boudnaries in color: color bands). Can this be due to a low color depth (so how many bits/ color are used during the caluclations)?

This is not pixalisations. ICE Color change only colors. It's do not interpolate image. It use isotropic color correction model. It's mean what for every source color specified some destination color. For any image part this law is constant.

Source color representation - 8x3 bit. Internal color represntation 80x3 bits. Using "long double" type.

Oke I understand that it is indeed not the accuracy you use 8- bits sounds very good!
But why do I see these bands then? I see what the reason is!!! I had originally a tif file and made a jpg file for working in ICE COlor, but that was not a good choice of mine, I should have converted it to a bmp file. If I do that, the results is much better. Sorry about this!!!
