Hi guys, I have spare HDD lying around my house and I am planning to store my music [FLAC(both 16 and 24 bits)] and graphics files[JPG] on HDD as a back up. Can anyone help with some recommendations for creating ECC stored on HDD? The integrity of the files is important but there are so many settings to choose...
And also, storage size is not a problem since my music files are not many to begin with...

Thanks alot!

I usually protect all files with 1024 block and 3% redundancy.
If some files are extremely important, i make copy of them to external storage with ECC files. Copying files with ECC work like ECC with 100%. If there is not enough recovery block, ICE ECC anyway can recover files if there are two duplicated set of files with different errors.
