I have read the ICE ECC help file as well as the excellent tooltips in the user interface. I can also understand what adding more source blocks or more recovery blocks affect on the recovery file size ...

ICE ECC force focus grabbing. It's easy to disable it. Only new version can fix your problem.

google can give a lot solutions for converting Unicode to Ansi. Try to search words: convert unicode ansi freeware

It seems that every other character in ICE ECC log file is a NULL character! (And the first line seems to start with "FF FE")

Opening the log file in Notepad does not show these since Not ...
