Try using a DVD recovery program like ISOBuster to read all the data off the DVD first including the bad blocks onto the hard drive.

then use ICE ECC on the files on the hard drive.

Not a very important feature i'm suggesting, don't do it if its too much work. Smile


How about being able to save the encoding/decoding process to disk when you pause it and the restarting it later ...

Very tiny thing:

Even though "Low priority" is set for the options in ICE ECC. When it starts encoding its still on normal priority and must be manually set in the Task manager.

Really? too bad.

What about Quad Opteron system? Each CPU has its own memory controller so each CPU is essentially seperate for memory.

The problem is actually more fundamental than that.

Even if you split the data and package/organize/mess with it in anyway, as long as you have 20% total damage, you NEED 20% redudancy ...

I could not repeat the failure either. What was the error message? is there something you changed? like the multi-cpu or multi threading features?
